About Vocalpoint! Seattle

VOCALPOINT! SEATTLE is a distinguished group of young adults who bring together the best in ensemble vocal performance. With a unique focus on contemporary music, this group draws the most talented high school-age young men and women from the Puget Sound region.

Vocalpoint! Seattle is part of the Northwest Choirs, which includes the esteemed Northwest Boychoir. Aside from its own performance series, Vocalpoint collaborates with some of our region’s finest ensembles, including the Seattle Symphony and Music of Remembrance.

Recently, members of Vocalpoint! Seattle appeared in Seattle Symphony performances of Legend of Zelda, “Music of the Mad Men Era,” Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Berlioz’s Damnation of Faust and Orff’s Carmina burana. In December, Vocalpoint! Seattle will again join the Northwest Boychoir in their annual presentation of A Festival of Lessons & Carols, including a final performance presented by Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall.

High school-age men enter Vocalpoint! Seattle as graduates of the Northwest Boychoir. High school-age women enter Vocalpoint! Seattle as graduates of our Girls Prep program. Visit our audition page to learn more about the audition process.

Led by Joseph Crnko, now in his 34th year as music director, the Choir’s staff of professional musicians and educators are engaged in the teaching of a rigorous curriculum that trains young singers to be fully skilled musicians who sing at the highest professional level, read music fluently, and perform in professional settings with confidence.

We attended our first concert last night and were 'blown away' by the musical quality, direction, arrangement and the stage presence of the singers. WOW!

I was so incredibly thrilled to work with the fine young gentlemen of Vocalpoint in my recent concerts with the Seattle Symphony. When I first met and heard them, I was blown away by the fact that these guys were still in High School! They have a musicality, sense of pitch, and professionalism the belies their years. I'll happily work with them again...anytime and anywhere.
